Save Our Sparrows
On March 6, 2011, in commemoration of the 100th birthday of His Holiness Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, Burhani Foundation initiated the Save Our Sparrows project, an effort to preserve and protect sparrow habitats threatened by rapid urbanization. This humble yet impactful initiative began with a large-scale bird feeder distribution drive, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his capacity as the then Hon'ble Chief Minister of Gujarat. The campaign marked a significant step toward ensuring the survival of sparrows and fostering greater awareness around bird conservation.
